Is it possible to play music simultaneously during a live stream?

Question

In version 1.7.6, I was able to add mixWithOthers to the audio session settings, which allowed me to play Apple Music and start a live stream at the same time — successfully streaming both the background music and the host's voice together.

However, after updating to version 1.8.0, this approach stopped working. I also tested it with the latest version (2.2.5) using the official example project, but it doesn't work there either.

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, or if this might be a bug worth reporting. Any help or clarification would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

1. Open Apple Music and play music.

If you downgrade back to 1.7.6 - Apple Music is working for you? For my experience Apple Music stops working when stream is started. But other music apps are working ok (Spotify, SoundCloud etc).

Yes, both scenarios worked fine on the version 1.7.6:

1. Playing Apple Music first, then starting the stream.
2. While already streaming, going to the background so only the stream audio is active, then playing Apple Music.

In both cases, the music and the host's voice were streamed together without any issues.

I created v1.7.6 experiment. Still no Apple Music. It is still muted.

It was working on old iPhones (up to 8), bc they have hardware AAC encoder/decoder.

I'm set breakpoint at SampleHandler line: 41 configureAudioSession() and run Example iOS or Screencast, it's will not trigger, I don't know if this is correct.
If I set mixWithOthers in AppDelegate, then Apple Music will not stop playing.
