Here's a timeline of Woz's life:
- Born - August 11,1950. San Jose, California.
- 1968 - Graduated from Homestead High School in Cupertino, California.
- 1971 - Became friends with Steve Jobs, cofounder of Apple.
- 1976 - Developed the Apple I computer.
- 1980 - Apple goes public with its stock value standing at US $117 million.
- 1981 - Narrowly escapes death while piloting a plane. Needed 2 years to fully recover.
- 1981-83 - Sponsored two US Festivals to celebrate evolving technologies.
- 1983 - Resumed duties at Apple, where its stock value reaches $985 million.
- 1986 - Earned bachelor's degrees in computer science and electrical engineering.
- 1987 - Retires from regular employment at Apple. Receives an annual stipend of $120,000.
