+In order to move towards open-beta while still playing nice with Discord backend infrastructure we have had to make some changes with how newbie and general channels are structured. 
+This means that we have assigned new roles which will limit the newbie/general channels you are able to see. Because of this, we have also had to limit the creation of new threads in those channels, and you may lose access to threads you’ve created.
