App recommends adding max speed to living streets

The app points out that a max speed is missing for living streets. It would be nice if that can be deactivated.

Are you talking about the Speed Limit quest item or the regular speed limit field?

I am not sure. The issue came up during a changeset discussion (https://www.openstreetmap.org/changeset/181273068).
The person said: "The Go Map! app has notified me that a speed limit is missing".
It would be nice if the app would not propose or encourage to add a speed limit for living streets.

Chiming in here as I was the one, in case the issue is not clear.
I was not aware that the speed limit should not be set on a living street, but the app proposed (via pin) to do so.

If there was a pin then you must have had the Speed Limit quest enabled, and it would be easy to filter it out for highway=living_street.

But the wiki explicitly suggests tagging max speed (at least the in English page), so I'm hesitant to do that.

@tordans do you have any thoughts on this?

For Germany, the wiki says, that there should not be a maxspeed tag in case of living streets:

In Deutschland sollte keine zusätzliche Geschwindigkeitsbeschränkung mittels maxspeed=* gesetzt werden. Die offizielle Geschwindigkeit ist in der StVO mit Schrittgeschwindigkeit angegeben. Alle numerischen Werte entspringen einer uneinheitlichen Rechtsprechung. maxspeed=walk kann als implizierter Standardwert angenommen werden und braucht daher nicht gesetzt zu werden.
