Apparently, the V5 prototype in that video was not an official version from AMNVOLT.
There are now similar V3X units of questionable origin — their frontend includes a broadband amplifier that appears to provide about 20 dB of gain on the shortwave path.
This obviously causes cross‑modulation issues that were not present in earlier designs when receiving shortwave signals.
