v5 Features?

Since v4 rev. b seems to be pretty much fixed...#292 (reply in thread)...what do we want to see in v5?

Personally I'd like to see some weatherproofing so it can handle a bit of rain or a steamy bathroom. I think that would make it the most perfect little travel/hiking radio to ever exist.

Excuse my ignorance but would it be much effort to add DRM and DAB radio support?

Only a few thoughts 🙂

• really NO more theremin effect
• no mechanically unstable shielding cup which affects the VCO
• external 32768Hz source for better frequency accuracy and less noise
• no more two simultanous FM antennas (wip + headphone-wire)
• AM/FM Antenna Diplexer behind a good broad banded impedance changer
• VCO leakage filters at AMI and FMI
• lower capacitive load for the shortwave active antenna whip
• less birdies by various sources
• improved and durable rotary encoder

I already posted some thoughts about an improved RF-headend of the V4B, too.
