Disable bands and features to simplify UI

I got one of these for my elderly father, mainly to get good FM radio reception and sound quality with an external speaker. It's easy for him to get lost in the menus and not be able to get back to FM tuning. It would be nice to be able to disable other bands and irrelevant features for such uses.

Not the best receiver for an elderly father if he is not tech savvy.
For good FM reception, get Qodosen DX-286 or any other radio with the TEF6686 chip. I prefer Deepelec DP-666.

I will second that the Qodosen is an excellent sounding and easy to use radio for anyone to use. The miniATS is truly a tinkerers and DX afficianados radio. I would not want a "simplified" UI that removes functionality. I think many miniATS users are of like mind.

There is a minimal firmware called ats-nano made by @SergeySergey. It is heavily commented, has only 300 lines of code and is easy to understand and modify.
