Hoverboard motherboard on 20V battery

Hi, do you know is it possible to use hoverboard mainboard with 20V Lithium tool battery instead of 36V?
Also would it be enough to reprogram the board?

while programming you can power up the board from the 3.3V in the STLINK v2, and for the battery I'm running it with a 24V li ion battery
