I don't know if we're ever going to get to a point where we can release those lighter releases, but in the mean time, we can use it to get slightly faster CI and guarantee that we are only not using any vendored deps when we want to use shared ones.

I don't see us releasing those -- even if we did this PR doesn't mirror the actual configured build in terms of which dependencies were opted into shared versions (it's assuming everything was).
