First, I want to said thank you to Enrico Welgelt and the XLibre dev team for making such a incredible X Server who work way better than the woke Xorg which whose dev hate me for not being on a [loud] minority check list and that focus on software instead of divisive political b$.

I am a pretty new to programming know a little bit of C++, C#, Java, Web programming language etc but not "pure C". How and where should i begin to support/contribute to XLibre ?

and for info i dont have bluesky aka wokesky or wokadon (aka mastodon) i avoid these far left places like the plague, the wokies in these platform are insane and delusion and they love to label people they don't like so i cant feel confortable in these platform.

• I advice for starters learn to compile xserver attach gdb, run debuger, everything manually (you will get familar with tmux*, gdb, gdb [over ssh], chvt and similar programs) - then you can apply pr and try to run xserver, if want more advanced do the same with freebsd.

• additionally it would be nice if somebody would have session testing script for various use cases, for example script for : start firefox, open obs, record aprox 10s desktop, then get video back; sit omething similar for xvfb and so on.

welll ... i do not have the hardware to test for bsd... it will stop at linux ... and why do i need to do everything manually, why not using a IDE and most of what you said sound tech jargon i still have not learn, like wtf is a "gdb" ? and when i meant C++ i meant c++ with visual studio in windows ... in school still learning it right now...

gdb is a debugger, a very powerful one. as for doing stuff manually, from my point of view it's because this kind of systems programming work can get somewhat messy on an IDE You could set up an IDE to compile by pressing a button and give you warnings with a linter but then you would need a powerful debugger like gdb and that kind of goes against the idea of never having to leave the IDE, you can have linters in text editors like neovim and compiling by pressing a button is not that helpful when this kind of stuff can take a good while to compile. if you are developing a display server like XLibre you might not want to have to switch servers often if you only have one machine
