👋 Hi, I’m Ryan "Axe" Howe

I'm a senior PHP backend developer who’s been building scalable, reliable systems for over 15 years — with a focus on clean architecture, testing, and developer-friendly workflows.

I maintain several open-source PHP libraries under the AxeTools organization — small, practical tools built to solve real problems I’ve encountered in production environments. These libraries are Composer-installable, PSR-compliant, and often framework-agnostic (though Symfony plays nice).

🔧 What I'm Building at AxeTools:

  • Utilities for improving backend developer productivity
  • Reusable components for common architectural patterns
  • Symfony-compatible tools for enterprise PHP projects
  • All fully test-covered and ready for drop-in use

🎯 Why Open Source?

Because we’ve all inherited messy codebases — I’m here to make it a little easier for the next dev (and future me).
