Sharath Satish

20 years building software and leading teams — from Employee #2 at a startup to distributed platforms at Microsoft handling millions of transactions. The job has always been the same: figure out what actually matters, cut everything else, and make it work for the customer.

I speak engineering with engineers, product with PMs, and business with leadership — not because I've studied all three, but because I've done all three. That range means I evaluate priority differently: total cost, not just projected business impact.

Outcomes over output. Tech debt belongs on the product roadmap, not a backlog that never gets prioritized.

Currently at Microsoft — product strategy for the commerce data platform and AI product strategy catalyst: moved a 100+ person PM org from 8% to 80% AI adoption in 6 months.
Previously at ThoughtWorks — trusted technical advisor to Fortune 500 CxOs, leading $30MM+ engagements and 500+ engineers.

I still build. I use AI to prototype and pressure-test product thinking: what's the minimum functionality that solves the problem? What can we cut and still ship something a customer would use?

What I'm Building

Human-in-the-loop bootstrapper for tuning AI assets — prompts, skills, agents, instructions, scripts, and workflows. Calibrates an evaluator from your own judgments, then runs a targeted mutation loop with your approval before applying changes.

Orchestrates a full feature lifecycle with human-in-the-loop gates across all SpecKit phases — from requirements through deployment.

A comprehensive library of prompt engineering techniques and AI-assisted development workflows. Both a learning resource and a practical toolkit.

Coming Soon

AI assets for PMs and builders who want to do better than vibe coding — tools, prompts, and frameworks that bring rigour to the build: spec-driven development, professional engineering practices, and the discipline to ship something that actually holds up.

Results

  • 8% → 80% AI adoption across a 100+ person PM organization in 6 months
  • 96% and 99%+ performance improvements on platforms serving thousands of partners
  • 11+ years leading PM teams, engineering teams, and cross-functional groups
  • Turned around underperformers through coaching, not PIPs

Writing

I write about product strategy and the messy reality of building things.
