Don't know if it has been changed in the past few weeks/months but it's extremely bad. It only takes one like of a specific post for your timeline to be flooded with that topic.
Example: My timeline shows only cars. I see a post with a cat. I like it.
I refresh timeline -> 9 out of 10 posts are now cat related.
