OctoPress cannot generate correct JSON

I am copy this file to ./source directory and generate content.

OctoPress rendering this scripts and replace "[TAG]" to “[TAG]”

categories.json file fragment :

    “categories”: [

        “Unix”,
        “Windows”        

    ]
}

How to solve this problem? 👀

add backslash before quotes

Using yours, @POStroi, rather than getting 8220, I'm getting 34, rather than an actual double quote character. Any ideas?

@plttn I think it is still rubypants.rb's escape problem. Another solution would be disable rubypants on JSON files. Goto plugins/octopress_filters.rb, line 18-24:

  def self.post_filter(page)
    if page.ext.match('html|textile|markdown|md|haml|slim|xml')
      page.output = TemplateWrapper::unwrap(page.output)
    end

    page.output = RubyPants.new(page.output).to_html
  end

Change to

  def self.post_filter(page)
    if page.ext.match('html|textile|markdown|md|haml|slim|xml')
      page.output = TemplateWrapper::unwrap(page.output)
    end

    unless page.ext.match('json')
      page.output = RubyPants.new(page.output).to_html
