Hi @TomerGamerTV — thanks for filing this. I've audited the upload path end-to-end against master (current HEAD) and can't reproduce a generic "image upload silently doesn't show up" failure. The flow looks structurally correct, so before changing code I want to make sure I'm chasing the right scenario.

What I checked

Files inspected end-to-end:

• src/components/TextAreaChat.tsx — addItems, uploadImageAsync, handlePaste, handleDrop, file-input click, drag-and-drop, thumbnail render
• src/views/PromptView.tsx — initial conversation creation + how the upload button is exposed pre-submit
• src/components/chat/ChatSection.tsx — conversation-mode upload entrypoint
• src/components/ImageViewer.tsx + src/hooks/useImageData.ts — post-submit render path
• src/services/messageService.ts (useSendContentMutation) — images table upsert on submit
• supabase/functions/_shared/messageUtils.ts, supabase/functions/parametric-chat/index.ts, supabase/functions/creative-chat/index.ts — server-side image handling
• supabase/schemas/storage_policies.sql and the storage RLS migrations — images bucket policies

What I found that could match your report

These are all environmental / edge-case paths that produce a "nothing shows up" feel without a hard crash:

1. Image dimensions below 256×256 — silently dropped from the upload list. There is a toast ("Image too small"), but it's brief; if you uploaded thumbnails or icons they would have been rejected this way.
2. Unsupported MIME — VALID_IMAGE_FORMATS only allows image/jpeg, image/jpg, image/png, image/webp. Photos straight from iOS often arrive as image/heic/image/heif and would be rejected (with a toast: "Invalid image format").
3. File size > 100 MB — rejected with a toast.
4. file.type empty / non-image/* — silently dropped with no toast (if (!file.type.includes('image')) return null). Some screenshot tools and certain Linux desktops emit empty MIME for image files.
5. Not signed in when clicking the upload button — the + button calls e.stopPropagation() so it doesn't trigger the unauth → /signin redirect that the textarea click triggers. The file picker opens, you select images, and the Supabase storage upload() call fails the RLS check (auth.uid() is null, the path's first segment is empty). The mutation onError toast says "Failed to upload image", but it's easy to miss.

None of these are inarguable bugs given the current product behavior, and nothing in the post-submit render path (useImageData/ImageViewer) is obviously broken on master.

To narrow this down, could you share:

• Were you signed in when you tried? (And on what browser/OS — e.g. Chrome 130 on macOS, Safari 17 on iPhone?)
• Roughly the dimensions and format of the images (e.g. 4032×3024 .heic from iPhone vs. 1920×1080 .png screenshot)?
• Did any toast/notification appear when you uploaded (e.g. "Image too small", "Invalid image format", "Failed to upload image")?
• Did the small thumbnail chip appear above the prompt bar at all, or was the failure that the AI didn't seem to use the image after you submitted?
• Anything in the browser DevTools console (errors or Sentry exceptions) when the upload was attempted?

If you can share even a screen recording of "click upload → pick image → nothing happens", that would let me match it to one of the paths above (or rule them all out and dig further).

I'll hold off on any code change until we have a concrete repro — making a speculative tweak risks masking the real issue.
