No access to mariadb over cli or dbeaver (flatpak)

MariaDB cannot be accessed via CLI (sudo mariadb -u root -p) or DBeaver (Flatpak).

Could be because the mariadb-server package is not included inside the main mariadb package? (https://stackoverflow.com/questions/71418217/mariadb-cannot-connect-through-socket).

So we have the mariadb package but it's mostly so we can build libmariadb. The server needs a lot of work to be usable
