We over time hit the max amount of image tags (1000) in AWS. Automatic image pruning would mean we wouldn't need to manually clear these.

EDIT: It seems there is already automation for this (see comment below) but we still have intermittent errors, so tracking that here.

It seems we already have this. All repositories have a lifecycle policy that expires old images once we hit 200 images per repo. This can become a problem though if we have a small number of images with a lot of tags, which happens if there are no changes for a given package in a CI run.
