Pineapple Notepad 0.1.0
Release Note
This is the first public release for Pineapple Notepad as a Freeware. The features that I most care about are implemented including charset detection, text encoding conversion, session restore, ability to show non-printable characters and more. Some less important features are on the way. I believe next release (0.2.0) will be pretty soon.
Note that since this is the first release, the application is considered as a experimental/testing release. While it will very unlikely cause any issues, I still suggest you avoid editing serious documents to avoid potential unexpected data loss.
Since we are not yet meet the Open Source Sponsor Goal, this release will be a binary-only release. You can help me reach the goal and make this application as a Free and Open Source Software, read the Funding section below.
Supported Platforms
- Windows (amd64)
- Linux (currently only deepin 25 amd64 binary package)
A macOS release is planned in the next release, more to come in future updates.
Note
For Linux users, please consider install kde-style-breeze package (Breeze style for Qt Widgets-based applications) for best experience.
