The current implementation does not include the IOP rotation to the datasets. The IOP is useful for orienting the individual slice data in a uniform direction. Sometimes this involves flipping the data along an axis so the correct anatomical features are on the correct side of the body. In general, it orients the volumetric data so all medical data is aligned in the same orientation.
