What

Brings docs.comfy.org/agent-tools/cloud up to date with the MCP server as deployed (v0.28.1). The page documented 16 tools; the server registers 37.

English page (agent-tools/cloud.mdx)

  • Tool tables expanded to all 37 tools, regrouped by lifecycle: Discovery, Generation, Jobs and batches, Saved workflows, Sharing, Apps and links, Account and session
  • Removed the stale note claiming saved workflows can't be runrun_saved_workflow handles fetch → convert → submit by filename now; Known limitations rewritten around the real remaining gap (conversion edge cases)
  • New "Credits and spending" section: discovery is free, generation consumes credits, and paid runs are spend-gated (the agent asks before spending) — plus a matching FAQ entry, since users will see the confirmation prompt and wonder
  • Typical flow updated to the template-first path (run_template) and partner_generate for partner models (Flux, Grok, Gemini, OpenAI, Ideogram, Seedance)
  • Consent-gating of report_session_summary documented explicitly

Translations (ko / zh / ja)

  • Same changes mirrored in all three languages, matching each file's existing terminology and register
  • translationSourceHash / translationBlockHashes re-stamped using the repo's own chunked-translate.ts helpers — getSectionSyncStatus reports up-to-date, no pending blocks for all three, so the auto-translate pipeline won't re-translate over the hand-synced content

Verification

  • Scripted check: all 37 registered tool names (extracted from comfy-cloud-mcp-server/src/tools.ts at v0.28.1) appear in each of the 4 files
  • Companion PR updating the server repo's README: Comfy-Org/comfy-cloud-mcp-server#542

Hand-translated to mirror the English update, then re-stamped
translationSourceHash/translationBlockHashes via the repo's own
chunked-translate helpers so getSectionSyncStatus reports up-to-date
for all three languages.

📝 Walkthrough

Walkthrough

Documentation for Comfy Cloud MCP (agent-tools/cloud.mdx and ja/ko/zh translations) was rewritten: the typical flow now details discovery, generation, and retrieval steps; MCP tools are reorganized into Discovery, Generation, Jobs and batches, and Saved workflows; new Apps/links, Account/session, and Credits and spending sections were added; known limitations and FAQ were updated.

Changes

Comfy Cloud MCP documentation update

Layer / File(s) Summary
Typical flow rewrite
agent-tools/cloud.mdx, ja/agent-tools/cloud.mdx, ko/agent-tools/cloud.mdx, zh/agent-tools/cloud.mdx
The "Typical flow" steps are expanded to name run_template, submit_workflow, partner_generate, optional upload_file, and a retrieval phase using wait_for_job then get_output.
MCP tools table reorganization
agent-tools/cloud.mdx, ja/agent-tools/cloud.mdx, ko/agent-tools/cloud.mdx, zh/agent-tools/cloud.mdx
Tool tables are regrouped into Discovery, Generation, Jobs and batches, and Saved workflows, adding get_template, get_template_schema, get_node, get_prompting_guide, apply_slots, batch/queue tools, update_workflow, and run_saved_workflow, replacing the older Execution description.
New Apps/Account/Credits sections
agent-tools/cloud.mdx, ja/agent-tools/cloud.mdx, ko/agent-tools/cloud.mdx, zh/agent-tools/cloud.mdx
New "Apps and links" and "Account and session" tool categories are documented, plus a "Credits and spending" section defining spend-gated behavior requiring explicit agreement before paid executions.
Known limitations and FAQ updates
agent-tools/cloud.mdx, ja/agent-tools/cloud.mdx, ko/agent-tools/cloud.mdx, zh/agent-tools/cloud.mdx
Removes the saved-workflows-by-ID limitation, adds editor-conversion and submit_workflow metadata notes, and introduces a new FAQ accordion explaining spend-gated confirmation prompts.
Translation metadata refresh
ja/agent-tools/cloud.mdx, ko/agent-tools/cloud.mdx, zh/agent-tools/cloud.mdx
translationSourceHash and translationBlockHashes frontmatter values are updated to match the new content.

No sequence diagram needed here — this PR is doc-shuffling, not flow-truffling (docs-only changes with no new multi-component control flow).

Possibly related PRs

  • Comfy-Org/docs#1204: Both PRs substantially rewrite the same agent-tools/cloud.mdx "Comfy Cloud MCP" documentation, reworking the MCP tool/flow narrative and Known limitations/FAQ sections.

Poem
A rabbit hopped through docs so grand,
With tools and slots at its command,
It queued a job, then waited near,
For get_output to bring cheer,
Now spend-gates guard each credit spent —
Hop on, dear reader, be content! 🐇✨

Section headers left untranslated.

"Discovery", "Generation", "Jobs and batches", "Saved workflows", "Apps and links", and "Account and session" headers remain in English here, while the equivalent ja/zh files fully localize these same headers (e.g. ja uses "検索"/"生成"/"ジョブとバッチ"..., zh uses "发现"/"生成"/"作业与批处理"...). Since this PR re-stamps the translation hashes to mark the section as synchronized, the headers should be localized to match.

Em dashes in new content violate the MDX style guideline.

Several newly-added rows/sentences use em dashes () where the guideline asks for periods, commas, colons, parentheses, or a second sentence:

  • Line 57: run_template description
  • Line 73: submit_batch, ... description
  • Line 83: run_saved_workflow description
  • Line 98: create_app description
  • Line 109: report_session_summary description
  • Line 115: "...you agreed to spend credits — so expect the agent..."

📐 Maintainability & Code Quality | 🔵 Trivial | 💤 Low value

Literal em dashes copied over from the English source.

Rows such as run_template (70), submit_batch... (73), create_app (111), and report_session_summary (122) keep the raw "—" character straight from the English text, whereas ja rewrote these as separate sentences and zh used the conventional Chinese double dash "——". Worth adapting to a punctuation style more natural for Korean docs, and it would also sidestep the underlying em-dash guideline issue once fixed upstream in the English source.
