Diabetes type 2 may confound the SaO2 values

Kindly brought up by @mirkompcr, this paper indicates that patients with diabetes type 2 may have altered SaO2 values.
Shall we extract information on diabetes to add as an confounding comorbidity?

however this study only found a difference in those with bad glycemic control (ie hba1c >7%) and we are lacking this piece of info
