Unable to update inkscape.

I've downloaded the inky app from the Google play app store. Inkscapes version is 0.92. when install it via userland the version is 1.0.2. I've attempted to update inky via command line but it reports it's the latest version already.

In short. The problem here is debian needs to be updated to 12 to have access to the latest inkscape versions. Here is how i did this.

in Inkscape click on "file" then click "exit".
Now a terminal window is on the screen. in the Terminal Type

$> sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade -y

$> sudo apt install nano
$> sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list

comment out all of the entries here by adding a # before each one and bellow it type:
deb http://deb.debian.org/debian bullseye main contrib non-free
deb http://deb.debian.org/debian bullseye-updates main contrib non-free
deb http://security.debian.org/debian-security bullseye-security main
deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian bullseye-backports main contrib non-free

press "ctrl" + "o" then "Enter" then "ctrl" + x

then type
$> sudo apt update -y
$> sudo apt upgrade --without-new-pkgs -y
$> sudo apt-get full-upgrade -y

Then disconnect from session close inky Then relaunch.

I closed inkscape again and in the terminal typed
$> sudo apt --purge autoremove

At this point i had inkscape 1.0.2 so i decided to upgrade debian to 12

$> sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list

comment out all of the entries here by adding a # before each one and bellow it type:

deb http://deb.debian.org/debian/ bookworm main contrib non-free non-free-firmware
deb http://security.debian.org/debian-security bookworm-security main contrib non-free non-free-firmware
deb http://deb.debian.org/debian/ bookworm-updates main contrib non-free non-free-firmware
deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian bookworm-backports main contrib non-free non-free-firmware

press "ctrl" + "o" then "Enter" then "ctrl" + x

then type
$> sudo apt update -y
$> sudo apt upgrade --without-new-pkgs -y
$> sudo apt-get full-upgrade -y

I closed inkscape again and in the terminal typed
$> sudo apt --purge autoremove
$> sudo apt install inkscape -y
$> sudo apt --purge autoremove

Now i have inkscape 1.2
