I've been looking into adding scalebars using MatPlotLib directly, but I'm seeing inconsistent results, and have little-to-no control over styling and placement. For now, attribution and scalebar will be generated as .pngs, but (hopefully) added to the plot directly rather than using PIL to do the old 'sandwich' approach.

Not complete - we have a local source for Soil data (SoilType model) that needs updated logic for adding labels

Streams will continue to be managed by MapBox. Forest Types are still blocked. Closing this ticket - will create new ticket specifically for ForestTypes.
