[suggestion] Notes

It would be nice to have the ability to attach notes to an addon.

Currently I’m using flags (“categories”) like TWW Incompat, Modified by Me, Abandoned(?), Evaluating, Bugged, Broken, etc.

With real notes, this would become a bit more flexible, for example Conflicts with addon XYZ, Great addon, but feature X crashes the client, Mainly useful for doing X or Y, TODO: Look for alternatives, TODO: Fix behavior Y if there is no update in the next few weeks, Position of frame ABC fixed via MoveIt, etc.

These notes should be visible in the tooltip, they should not be listed in the sidebar; however, a category “Has Notes” would be extra-great.

Of course, this would be a super-luxury QoL feature, by no means a necessity. But you may have toyed with the idea yourself, so this is to let you know that you are not the only one who would find this useful 🙂

This was the major intent of this issue revive. Now let’s go on to some secondary stuff:

Not wanting to hurry you in any way, but sometimes things just are forgotten.

In the current pre-patch/EA phase, I noticed again that such a Notes feature would be really handy. In addition to tags like ‘Bugged’, I’ve already added tags like ‘CurrPatchIssues’ (meaning: issues with the new API, but generally it’s working and doesn’t seem to be abandoned), or even more detailed.

Having a place where I could note what exactly doesn’t work (as an example), would be so useful, also 3 months later when wondering ‘why didn’t I delete this addon’ or, when seeing the 'Bugged’ tag, ‘it seems to work, WTH was the problem?'

Of course, for major addons I keep track of these things in external notes, but this in-game quick note thing would really be handy 🥰
