Action Performed:

  1. Navigate to https://staging.new.expensify.com/
  2. Sign in to a new account
  3. Create Workspace > Workspace Chat
  4. Create two expenses. One with a Category and the other with out a category
  5. Go to the uncategorized expense, notice that actionable message from Concierge is posted in the Expense details with options for categorizing.
  6. Click on More > Merge
  7. Select expense to merge and complete the merge flow

Expected Result:

Category is set to the category of the merged expense and actionable message from Concierge is not shown with options for categorizing

Actual Result:

Category is set to the category of the merged expense and actionable message from Concierge is still shown with options for categorizing.

Options for categorizing should not be shown when there is already a category.
