Action Performed:

Precondition:

  • User location is not US or change default payment currency to EUR or MYR in Preferences.
  • Default workspace has enabled Distance rates.
  • Default distance unit is Kilometers in distance rates settings.
  1. Go to staging.new.expensify.com
  2. Go to self DM.
  3. Click + > Track distance > Manual.
  4. Enter amount > Next.
  5. On confirm page, click Rate.
  6. Click Upgrade > Got it, thanks.
  7. Enter any rate > Save.
    → On confirm page, Distance and Rate unit are both kilometer.
  8. Click Create expense.
  9. Open the created expense.
    → Distance and Rate unit are both meter in the created expense, which is different from the unit on confirm page from Step 7.

Expected Result:

On confirm page and the created expense, Distance and Rate unit should be the same.

Actual Result:

In Step 7, on confirm page, Distance and Rate unit are both kilometer.
In Step 9, Distance and Rate unit are both meter in the created expense, which is different from the unit on confirm page from Step 7.
