@sobitneupane yes I think that's expected. I don't think we want to get overly complex here and try to handle a scenario where someone wants the app language to be different than the device language. I think the most straightforward for now is to go with it like this and if we get user feedback, we can update. |

This caused a regression in #29620 It will always reset the language to the device-preferred language even when the user sets a different language. we fix this by adding an extra check to Onyx preferredLocale.

@sobitneupane Thanks for the feedback, in that case this is not a regression rather than a feature request.
I have updated the BZ checklist.
