[NoQA] dev: fix e2e test running in dev mode

Details

The e2e test suite recently got some updates to make it stable, which we achieved now. However, the code to get the e2e tests working in local development mode got broken. This fixes it so a developer can run npm run test:e2e:dev, as explained in the adding e2e tests documentation.
