@dominictb The PR is quite different from the proposal. I think we should show something like Deleted tax instead of the previous name. Here is the reason

1. Tax is not the same as category, what we should preserve is the taxAmount, that why when we update or delete the tax, taxAmount is still preserved.
2. If we want to save taxTitle into transaction like category, we have to update the ton of code and requires BE changes a lot
3. Currently, when users update tax name, it'll reflect to transaction detail (because we're getting it by taxCode) and there's no error, so showing the old taxName doesn't make sense
4. Showing Deleted tax makes sense to me

@dominictb Now taxCode is used in many APIs, so if we want to store taxName we have to change the optimistic data of all these APIs. We also need BE to do the same.

Yes, but taxName can be updated

Let's assume we store taxName: taxName_1 with taxCode: taxCode_1 in the transaction then we update taxName to taxName_2 in policy, so to update taxName in transaction we have to update all transactions belongs to policy.

That why I believe it's overkill (we don't do that with category)

I'm still inclined to the expected result to show the tax name, and I think the proposal is already great planning out the solution. So, showing Deleted tax might not be acceptable.
