Renaming Files changes Date Taken and Last Modified values

Steps to reproduce the bug

• Occurs seemingly at random when renaming images.
  • I Always Rename from Fullscreen Mode/Have Never Tested this in Selection Mode.
• Since the issue appears to be Random I can't really give any more detailed steps but have included as much information as possible in the Additional Information section.

Expected behavior

• Renaming should never affect Date Taken value.
• Renaming should not affect Last Modified value based on my settings.
  • Keep old last-modified value at File Operations.

Actual behavior

• Date Taken and Last Modified values sometimes change to the current date and time.

Additional information

• I always rename files from the full screen view/don't know if it would also happen when renaming from the thumbnail/selection screen.
• There was one other issue that mentioned dates being changed after Moving Files but it appears to unrelated.
  • While I do sometimes move files within the App I've not looked for changing date values for said files (in my use case when I move files through the App the new folder is generally sorted by name).
• It doesn't matter if I only edit 1 image or multiple images before exiting fullscreen mode.
• File order (group by date) isn't affected untill I exit full screen mode.
  • Not sure if the Data is being changed during the rename with the order being maintained by cache or if the Data is being changed when the selection screen updates.
• Happens regardless of folder size.
• I generally use Group by Date (Daily) and Sort by Name.
• Affects both JPG and PNG images (not sure about other formats).
• I've attached my Gallery Settings file and a Screenshot of my Version Screen.
• This issue has been ongoing for quite a while but was most likely introduced in the latest version of Gallery (released 6 months ago).
  • I've updated my phone at least once during that time.
• I've looked for commonalities in names of affected and unaffected files but couldn't find anything.
• I've had files that were not affected by renaming before be affected by subsequent renames.
  • Most of the time I'm renaming image files it's to add tags but I've had files be affected regardless of what I changed during the rename.
• The "Fix Date Taken Value" button has no affect.
• I'm usually working inside Hidden Folders but I think the issues occurred in normal folders as well.
• I've not noticed this issue on any other apps granted I don't do a lot of renaming outside this App.
