Hi there, I'm Gabriel Falque πŸ‘‹

Genomic Data Scientist | Bioinformatics Engineer πŸ§¬πŸ”¬

Open to new opportunities while continuing remote collaborations on public health projects with CIRMF. My work focuses on automating genomic surveillance, analyzing viral evolution, and modeling epidemiological trends using satellite data (One Health).

πŸ” Current Focus

  • Genomic Surveillance: Analyzing 173k+ SARS-CoV-2 genomes to track viral evolution across Africa.
  • One Health Modeling: Coupling clinical datasets with environmental variables via Google Earth Engine.
  • Tool Development: Building Python packages for codon usage bias analysis pycodon_analyzer.

πŸ“ Selected Publications & Contributions

  • [2026] Conformational dynamics study of TfR1 upon transferrin binding via NMA and MD simulations - Journal of Molecular Graphics and Modelling. DOI: 10.1016/j.jmgm.2026.109379
  • [2025] Morphological and MALDI-TOF MS identification of freshwater snails, including intermediate hosts of schistosomes in Gabon - bioRxiv (Preprint). DOI: 10.1101/2025.07.14.664644
