Updates available notification icon is unclear

The update available notification icon (Material Symbols new_releases) makes it look like something is done rather than updates being available.

It would be clearer if it was replaced with a more common icon for updates/downloads.

Do you mean for the App Store?

Yes, that's where I've noticed it. Not sure if the same icon is used for system updates since they download automatically.

As a side note, verified and new_releases have the same icon, which I assume they shouldn't, so I wonder if Google has simply messed up the icons here? Presumably all icons should be unique.
