Description

I just set the plugin up, but I keep running into this auth error whenever I run /index:

No embedding-capable provider found. Please authenticate with OpenCode using one of: ollama, github-copilot, openai, google.

I'm authenticated with both OpenAI and Google (subscriptions), but it won't work. What am I doing wrong?

I'm authenticated with OpenAI and Gemini, I didn't change anything.

The most likely issue is that the plugin does not treat an OpenAI/Google subscription or general account login as sufficient provider auth. For those providers, it needs credentials it can actually read — typically OPENAI_API_KEY or GOOGLE_API_KEY, or matching entries in OpenCode auth.

So if you are authenticated in the sense of having an account/subscription, but those credentials are not available to the plugin runtime, /index will still fail with "No embedding-capable provider found".

That said, the current error message is misleading, because it suggests generic OpenCode authentication should be enough for OpenAI/Google, which is not really true in practice.

Please try running /status first with OPENAI_API_KEY or GOOGLE_API_KEY set in the same environment as OpenCode. If detection still fails after that, I can dig further.

Yep, I imagined as much, but I need a way to specify an OpenAI api key for this separately (to be user only for embeddings, not coding).
