Caution
We are not accepting new security advisories during this period. Please do not report security issues until after August 3, 2026.
ImageMagick Studio LLC is one of the most widely used image processing tools in the world, and we're proud of that. But we're a small, volunteer-driven team and the last eight months have kept us very busy. We've worked hard to investigate and address a large number of security reports. We're grateful for every responsible disclosure and some of them even helped us fix bugs along the way. However, not all of them turned out to be the security issues they were reported as. Triaging and responding to all of them takes significant time and energy.
That's why we're following the lead of the curl project and taking a break from accepting new security advisories. Daniel Stenberg and his team were the first to take this step in their "curl summer of bliss" and we think they're absolutely right. Open source maintainers need breathing room too.
We're not disappearing. ImageMagick will continue to be maintained and developed, and we'll return to the security queue after this break. In the meantime, please make sure you're running the latest release, and thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Any security advisories opened between July 1 and August 3, 2026 will be closed without review.
