Description
Description
I have 250 GB of data on my kDrive. I recently set up a new computer (Kubuntu) and installed the kDrive client on it and it started syncing the files. However, it is extremely slow compared to my internet connection (1000 Mb/s). I also noticed that the app is constantly maxing out on a single CPU core.
Is there an internal speed limit? It would be nice to configure this if so.
Is the download compressed with a very computationally demanding compression algorithm? If this could be changed, that might help with slow download speeds. Downloading more than 1 file at a time could also help since currently only 1 core seems to be utilized.
Steps to reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Have a kDrive with a reasonable amount of data.
- Download the desktop client.
- Observe that it takes a very long time for the download of your data to finish.
Expected behavior
The kDrive desktop client should use roughly all the available network speed and not download very slowly.
