Expected behavior

Should be handled carefully, following #2183

• not only need to fix the broken links such that it works here, but might also need to use tags to ensure the docs work when deployed separately (refer to 2183)

We should document how to add links to docs properly, in dev guide. @itsyme would be great if you could do it.
