Social / Community "Hooks"  #6

This is smart: https://www.reddit.com/r/RedditTrophies/comments/3cfep4/6_july_2015/ Reddit incentivizes the community each day by badging "top contributors" which they define. It's a smart way to both recognize top performers and get them to continue posting.

I'm thinking about this in terms of the incentives or hooks we could provide to get people to return to the site. If the site is largely information and static, it will have a small audience. If the site provides a curated - loose term - guide to audio published by public media, it's a different story and there will be repeat visitors. This can be achieved with something like a newsletter - I really like the This.cm one, which captures five stories and sends them out each day with a personalized header. I'm wondering if we could string something together -- at the end, but cognizant of it - with Zapier and Mailchimp. Other thoughts welcome. Not dreadfully important, but something to think about as we contemplate an MVP and growing an audience - and making sure the UX is easy to understand and use.
