README says nix --version should be 2.4 but the latest I see on nix packages is 2.42.2. Typo?

Make sure you're running Nix 2.4+, and opt into the experimental flakes and nix-command features:

Should be 2.4+

nix --version
export NIX_CONFIG="experimental-features = nix-command flakes"

When I run this I get

Is there something wrong with my setup?

NixOS currently claims the latest version to be 2.29.0. What is going on?
