Hmm this is an interesting issue... Are you sure this only comes up with Multiverse? I can't think about what in (Core) would cause this... I don't have any plans on adding things to Multiverse but this is a maintenance ticket if it is related.

Can you read up on "this page" and add a bit more detail for us?

Hey Eric - thanks for taking the time and looking into it! Might it is an dependency of the project? I'm sure it comes only up with Multiverse as I can reproduce it on my localserver.

Cool, I'll definitely have a peek. My dev server is... not feeling well right now (too many other projects, not enough RAM), but I plan on moving some other things off and looking at this within a few weeks.

I did some cursory searching and you have nothing to fear until Java 12 comes out (which looks like 2019/03/19 - General Availability so we have plenty of time before this gets removed. Rest assured it will be fixed before that time.

This is almost certainly related to the Buscript dependency which is used to provide scripting capabilities to MV Portals. It is unfortunate they are removing this from the Java std lib.

Yes, this is related to the ScriptManager class in the Buscript libary. This warning started to appear from Java 11. It seems Nashorn engine is no longer maintaned and they are deprecating it from Java 12. As @fernferret said, we have plenty of time before the engine gets removed.

EDIT: To remove the warning, add -Dnashorn.args="--no-deprecation-warning" to the JVM options.

Java 15 is coming in just about a month, and it finally removes the nashorn engine. Is multiverse ready for this?

Multiverse should be compatible with Java 15 after #2279.
