Hi, I personally would try to pull request to the original repository to make sure that all other forks would be informed about changes before their devs will work on it.

OXIDprojects is just an organisation, not a natural person or project. On the one hand, own repositories are usually integrated by agencies into their own infrastructure, on the other hand module writers just want to drop their extension "as is" to the community. OXIDprojects is a trial to get that facts under one hood, and to make possible that people can find these extensions easily and start working together. Have good experience so far concerning updates and the maintenance of older modules ;)
