πŸ† OKR: Every module author ships with confidenceΒ #69

Description

Objective: Every PowerShell module author ships with confidence

Module authors β€” whether building their first module or their fiftieth β€” should feel that the framework has their back. Publishing should feel safe, predictable, and routine.

Key Results

  • KR1: Zero-config success rate β€” A new repo created from Template-PSModule can publish to the Gallery on first merged PR with no additional configuration beyond the API key secret
  • KR2: Cross-platform test pass rate β€” Framework tests pass on all three OS runners (Windows, macOS, Linux) for every published module
  • KR3: Adoption β€” Number of modules actively publishing through Process-PSModule grows quarter over quarter
  • KR4: Time-to-first-publish β€” A new contributor can go from Use this template to a published module in under 30 minutes

What "confidence" means

  • Tests ran. On all platforms.
  • Version is correct and predictable.
  • The artifact that was tested is the artifact that was published.
  • Breaking changes are caught before they reach users.
  • Prerelease lets you validate before committing.
