VALIDATION.md led with "Status: NOT VALIDATED. No published DEFINE-UK result has been reproduced by this adapter yet" while the target table three sections below recorded target 1a as PASS on 2026-08-04, targets 2 and 3 closed, and reimplementation milestone 1 gated. Downstream pages cite this file as their record, so the contradiction read as an overclaim on their side rather than a stale line here. Replaced with a status that says what actually holds, target by target, and keeps the part that mattered: closed-at-the-achievable-ceiling is not passed, and a claim about this model has to name the target it rests on. GPI_MULTIPLIER_CAVEATS attributed a 1.1-1.5 green-spending multiplier range to 'Batini et al. 2021'. No such publication could be located: no bib entry, title, URL or page exists in this repo or the site repo, and the only IMF reference either holds is Batini et al. (2014) — a different paper reporting a different quantity (0-1, first year, advanced economies). A hermetic test pins this string as travelling with every served delta, so the unverifiable attribution was being shipped with each number that quotes the multiplier. It is withdrawn rather than repaired, and the withdrawal is recorded in place: an unidentifiable citation is worse than none, and deleting it silently would leave the next reader to rediscover the same dead end. The substance is unchanged — the comparison is still declared indicative rather than like-for-like, and the reasons a long-horizon cumulative ratio sits above short-horizon figures still travel with it. 236 passed, 59 skipped.
