First gap-fill batch of the 37 lectures the intermediate zh-cn edition is missing (full inventory in QuantEcon/project-translation#14 session notes). Seeded with claude-opus-4-8 via translate init -f on action-translation v0.20.0, as the calibration batch before committing to the remaining 32 — review quality here decides whether Opus stays the seed model and whether batch size 5 is right.

Lecture Section Source lines
blackwell_kihlstrom 统计与信息论 1,363
information_market_equilibrium 统计与信息论 1,574
merging_of_opinions 统计与信息论 1,309
survival_recursive_preferences 统计与信息论 1,248
chow_business_cycles 动态系统导论 1,652

What's in the diff beyond the five lectures:

Structural checks pass: code-cell and fence counts identical to source on all five, heading maps present, no text.usetex (per the zh-editions convention), TOC parses. No environment changes needed — all five use only numpy/scipy/matplotlib.

This is a draft for native review, not a finished edition (fr/fa precedent) — the seed guidance treats machine seeds as review drafts.

First gap-fill batch from the intermediate catch-up: blackwell_kihlstrom,
information_market_equilibrium, merging_of_opinions,
survival_recursive_preferences, chow_business_cycles — translated with
claude-opus-4-8 via translate init -f (action-translation v0.20.0),
with heading maps and .translate/state entries.

Also syncs quant-econ.bib from source (the five lectures cite 46 keys the
old bib lacked; the 15 entries dropped by the sync are cited nowhere in
this repo) and bootstraps .translate/config.yml.

Part of the seed calibration batch in QuantEcon/project-translation#14.

Note on the red review check: Review Translations only handles PRs carrying the action's metadata block (### Source PR / translation-sync-metadata), which init-seeded PRs don't have — there is currently no AI-review path for seed PRs (noted on QuantEcon/action-translation#131). Removed the action-translation label so the workflow stops firing here; this batch's quality gate is the native review this draft exists for, plus the preview build.

Superseded by the consolidated seed PR: per Matt's call, all 37 missing lectures land as a single PR (the remaining 32 are translating on Opus 4.8 now), which avoids stacked _toc.yml edits across two PRs. This branch's five lectures are preserved (rebased onto current main) and will be merged into the consolidated branch — nothing here is discarded, including the review context above. The red review check was the known seed-PR review gap (QuantEcon/action-translation#131), not a content failure — build and preview were green.

Completes the Phase 2 gap-fill in one pass: every lecture in the source
_toc.yml now has a Chinese edition (121/121). Translated with
claude-opus-4-8 via translate init (action-translation, parity guard on),
with heading maps and .translate/state entries so sync discovery covers
the full corpus.

Also: 37 _toc.yml entries inserted in source order; quant-econ.bib synced
from source plus three entries the source bib itself lacks
(GilboaSchmeidler:1989, Whittle_1981, Whittle_1990 — dangling upstream,
recovered from lecture-python-advanced.myst); CJK font blocks injected
into five lectures the localisation rule missed; font paths normalised
to this repo's fonts/ convention.

Part of QuantEcon/project-translation#14; supersedes the closed #194.
