Mock motion system

Comprehensive motion database

The mock library includes more than 20 motions across categories such as athletic, dance, martial arts, and everyday activities. Each motion is annotated with semantic descriptions, quality metrics, and an embedding vector for similarity search.

Smart motion analysis

Each motion includes:

  • Semantic descriptions
  • Quality metrics (temporal consistency, spatial accuracy)
  • Feature extraction (energy, complexity, body-part focus)
  • Embedding vectors for similarity search
  • Metadata: duration, format, category, tags

Technical implementation

Seed motions processing

from project.seed_motions.mock_seed_motions import get_seed_motions, get_motion_statistics

motions = get_seed_motions()
print(f"Loaded {len(motions)} motion sequences")

stats = get_motion_statistics()
print(f"Categories: {stats['categories']}")

SNN motion blending

from project.blending.blend_snn import BlendSNNMock, blend_motions

output_path = blend_motions(['Walking Forward.fbx', 'Running Sprint.fbx'], output_name="walk_to_run_blend")
print(f"Blended motion saved: {output_path}")

Build pipeline processing

from project.build_motions.mock_build_motions import MotionBuilder, process_motion_library

results = process_motion_library()
print(f"Processed: {results['processed']} motions")

Demo artifacts generation

from project.demo_artifacts.mock_demo_artifacts import DemoManager

demo_manager = DemoManager()
results = demo_manager.create_comprehensive_demo()
print(f"Created {results['artifacts_created']} demo artifacts")

Semantic search integration

Elasticsearch API endpoints

Vector similarity search

curl -X POST http://localhost:5002/search \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \

Integration points

Elasticsearch cloud

Example production mapping:

ES_CLOUD_URL = "https://my-elasticsearch-project.example.es.us-central1.gcp.elastic.cloud:443"
ES_API_KEY = "<REDACTED>"
mapping = {
  "name": {"type": "text", "fields": {"semantic": {"type": "semantic_text"}}}
}

Fivetran data pipeline

A sample connector instantiation:

connector = SemanticPoseStreamConnector({
    'mode': 'batch',
    'file_folder': 'project/seed_motions',
    'elasticsearch_enabled': True
})
connector.load(motion_data)

Google Cloud integration

Vertex AI training example (config snippet):

training_config = {
  'machine_type': 'n1-highmem-8',
  'accelerator_type': 'NVIDIA_TESLA_V100',
  'accelerator_count': 1
}

About

Creating lifelike character animations requires smoothly transitioning between different motion clips. Traditional blending often relies on manual tweaking or large motion datasets. Recent single-shot GAN models (e.g. GANimator) can generate entire motions from one example, but lack built-in blending controls.
