I have completeted my first masters in biochemistry and a second masters in molecular and cellular biology. My thesis for the second masters titled 'Mapping the transcriptomic landscape of PBMCs across health and disease' was completed under the guidance of Dr. Johanna Klughammer at the Gene Centre, LMU🧑💻
For my PhD Thesis, I build large-scale single-cell atlases to understand disease states across species and tissues. My work combines computational methods development with close collaboration with experimental biologists to generate insights that bridge model systems and human disease.
Other than biology, I am very passionate about cooking and music. My suprisingly high consumption of cooking videos on youtube helps me harness my skills in the kitchen better. I also love playing basketball, nature and everything outdoors! At the risk of sounding geeky, I will say that I love watching wildlife documentaries and can recommend some very good ones too😄
