Feature request - set computer name with prefix and random nr

Hi Sven,
Nice tool to work with! I would like the option to enter a computer name myself and default suggests like "name-{randomnr}"
Maybe something for a next release ;)

Thanks, that's an interesting suggestion. Would it matter how the random number is generated? I don't think it's possible to guarantee uniqueness if multiple computers were given names like this with the same prefix.

For now I have solved my situation. It would be nice if you could use a certain character that stands for a random number. Then it does not matter where in the name it appears and how many characters are desired. Example: Christmas-%%%%
If a name like this already exists, it will never be added to the AD.

Hi @dianneman, yes, I was thinking of something similar. I'm reopening this so I can use it to track the feature when I have time to add it.
