[Bug]: TypeType-Android does not prompt for Nearby Devices permission when connecting to an instance on the same network #24

Description

@pinembour

Before submitting

  • I am using the latest available TypeType Android release.
  • I searched for an existing issue describing the same problem.

What happened?

I cannot connect to my personal instance when being same network as the server where my instance is.
I have no issue when using 5G.
The web version is working on both local network or 5G.
The app works on local networks only if I use my IPv4 and port directly instead of using my domain
Connecting by typing my IPv6 works on the web but the app doesn't seem to understand http://[ipv6]:port notation

Steps to reproduce

  1. Make sure the phone is connected to the same local network as the TypeType instance
  2. Open the application and type in your instance
  3. After 30s, it errors with "Check your connection and try again"
