Fix crash when pressing 2 on editions

Summary

• Fixes crash detailed in Discovering an Edition with DebugPlus Causes the Game to Crash #16 when pressing 2 on edition cards by ensuring edition field exists before accessing it
• Properly updates collection data when unlocking editions
• Adds user feedback that shaders will appear after reopening the section

Test plan

1. Open the compendium and navigate to editions
2. Press 2 on a locked edition - it should no longer crash
3. Verify you get a message about reopening the section to see the shader

Why has this not been accepted? This crash is still a thing over a year later, with a commit just sitting here, with no conflicts. I added the changes to my own core.lua and it worked just fine, fixing the crash. The mod isn't even inactive, there was a new release 3 weeks ago.
