Update Error

I was previously running v1.1 and just noticed that v1.5 is available. I downloaded the new .dmg file, deleted the old app from my Applications folder, and then installed v1.5 by opening the .dmg and copying the .app to my Applications folder. Upon starting the new version it asked me for permission to upgrade to the latest version. I selected "Install Update". It downloaded the update and then threw an error message:

I've tried it several times with the same result every time. Otherwise, v1.5 seems to be running fine.

Fix Released: v1.5.1

The issue has been identified and fixed.

Root Cause
The v1.5 release had a version mismatch: the app's build number was 1, but the update feed (appcast.xml) advertised build number 3. This caused Sparkle to think an update was available even when you already had the latest version.

Solution
v1.5.1 (build 4) corrects this mismatch. The app now properly reports its version and won't prompt for phantom updates.

Important: Manual Update Required
Due to a signing key change during this fix, auto-update from v1.5 will show an error. This is expected.

Please download v1.5.1 manually:

Once you're on v1.5.1, future updates will auto-update normally.

Thanks for fixing this so fast!

When we do the manual update, should we rename the .app file after copying it to Applications? It looks like each version gets a different name, so just copying the new bundle would result in having multiple versions installed. Is that a problem?

As far as I know, not a problem. I just deleted the older ones.
