Ah it seems like claude uses WSL too?
It seems to run under the normal windows path, e.g. /c/User/XYZ, not like WSL on the explicit WSL user like /home/XYZ
also as far as I can tell WSL normally mounts C:\ on /mnt/c/ while claude seems to have access under /c/
Also do you know if your bash script would be possible via VSCode extension or similar?
That would make it much more transportable!

For Claude Code compatibility, you'll want to handle the path translation carefully:

1. Path mapping: Claude Code uses format (Git Bash style) - you need to convert between Windows () and this format

2. WSL detection: Check if running under WSL via 6.8.0-55-generic or checking

3. Shell detection: Claude Code runs bash on Windows via Git for Windows - detect with /usr/bin/bash

For a VS Code extension approach, consider using the VS Code workspace API to get native paths and convert them.
